The Hampton Roads Militaria Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to assist collectors and historians in the collection & preservation of militaria of all sorts and periods, preserve and honor our military past, and honor the veterans of all our conflicts. To this end, we’ve had guest speakers address our members covering personal first hand experiences as diverse as US Glider operations, Italian WWII Submarine operations, the history of the German Iron Cross, the Resistance in WWII & being a POW of the Japanese. We also have member and guest presentations covering subjects ranging from the history of the US helmet, WWI Victory Medals, Japanese firearms, Samurai swords, USMC uniforms to US patches. Meetings are usually held on the first Tuesday of each month, and start at 6:30 PM; the public is invited to attend. The Society is available to help civic and veteran groups and membership is open to all. Annual dues are $15.00. Contact us at 425-2827 for details or questions.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
